XM3L series residual current action circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as leakage circuit breaker) is suitable for AC 50/60Hz, rated working voltage up to 400V, rated working current 16A to 630A in the power supply system with neutral point directly grounded as leakage protection, also can be used to prevent the fire hazard caused by equipment insulation damage, resulting in ground fault current. It can also be used to distribute electrical energy and protect lines and power supply equipment from damage caused by overload and short-circuit faults, as well as for infrequent starting of motors and overload and short-circuit protection.

The earth leakage circuit breaker has the characteristics of small size (equal to the volume of the corresponding plastic case circuit breaker), high breaking, short flying arc and adjustable residual action current, etc. At the same time, it can be equipped with alarm contacts, sub-excitation decoupler, auxiliary contacts and other accessories, which is the ideal product for users to use.

The earth leakage circuit breaker can be installed vertically (i.e. vertically) or horizontally (i.e. horizontally).

This product complies with GB14048.2 idt IEC60947-2 standard.

Normal working conditions

◇The altitude of the installation site should not exceed 2000m.

◇ Ambient air temperature; the upper limit of ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40℃; the lower limit shall not be lower than -5℃; the average value of 24h shall not exceed +35℃.

◇Atmospheric conditions: The relative temperature of the atmosphere shall not exceed 50% at the maximum surrounding temperature of +40°C. A higher relative humidity is possible at lower temperatures, and the maximum monthly average relative humidity for the wettest month shall not exceed 90% at the monthly average minimum temperature of +25°C, taking into account the condensation on the product surface that occurs as a result of temperature changes.

The instantaneous action characteristics of the leakage circuit breakers for power distribution are set at 10ln±20%, and those of the leakage circuit breakers for motor protection are set at 12ln±20%.

Structure and working principle

This series of earth leakage circuit breaker is an electronic earth leakage circuit breaker, mainly composed of zero sequence transformer, electronically controlled earth leakage decoupler and circuit breaker with overload and short circuit protection, all parts are installed in a pair of plastic shells.

When there is leakage or personal electric shock in the protected circuit, as long as the residual current reaches the value of the rectified action current, the output signal of the secondary winding of the zero sequence transformer triggers the SCR to conduct, and the leakage circuit breaker operates through the leakage detonator, thus cutting off the power supply to play the role of leakage and electric shock protection.

When the protected circuit is overloaded or short-circuited, the compound striker completes the delay or instantaneous stripping action and makes the leakage circuit breaker operate, thus cutting off the power supply to play the role of overload or short-circuit protection.
